Well this is what it is like being a Michigan State fan and a Texas fan. Yay for us!! During recruiting season!!! I will say Zook has done a good job recruiting this year. I think Leak is an unbelievably talented Quarterback and we have some exciting receivers coming in. I am excited about Thomas becoming a Gator; it is always sweet to steal one from FSU. I am excited these guys are coming and I hope we can make their experiences at UF as great as the guys in the 90's.

But let me add this. Our worst season under Spurrier, gave us a #1 ranked recruiting class, which features the guys that classless Zook referred to as "the cupboard was bare" which is a joke. We have had good recruits…but so did Miami, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia and a lot of other teams.

Ask yourself this: what good is a great recruiting class when you run a reverse pass to a back up cornerback with the game on the line…after you blew the season. Many people are looking for hope. I understand, you want to believe that this was a one-year atrocity and UF football will reload and bounce back. It will, but not until we get rid of Ron Zook. Do you know how many good recruiting classes Oklahoma had before Bob Stoops took over? Gary Gibbs had a 3 or 4, Schembechler had 1, Blake had 2…do you know what happened each year? Nothing! Absolutely nothing. You want to know why? It's because they had a bunch of good athletes in a stupid system. They were out-coached throughout the 90's.

How was LSU's recruiting 3 years ago? How is it now? How come they kicked the crap out of us in our house? Hope is good and bad. Hope leads to bigger disappointments…why get excited over recruiting anyway? The best players UF has had have never been the top ranked recruits in their class: see Kearse, Gafney, and Grossman. Look at Georgia for the last 10 years! Nothing is decided on February 5th.

That being said Zook has had a year to get some athletes into UF especially with all our defensive players jumping ship. He did do a good job recruiting…no one on this site will deny that. So did Mack Brown…and I believe there is a copycat website dedicated to getting rid of that awful coach, since he has never won a big game in his life. People are asking, "whatever happened to those FireRonZook guys? Well, we're still here, just like last spring. We aren't going anywhere. Unlike last spring we get tons of support letters, we get thousands of hits on our website, and we sell shirts that help us spread the word.

And the word is this…

We don't give a damn about where our recruiting class is ranked, when our team is not ranked in the top 25 at the end of the bowl season. I saw last season and it was an embarrassment, a total freaking cluster "F" that ended with me getting laughed at in a bar in Manhattan by people who screamed "that is the worst call of all time"…and "that's a total joke"…"I hope you didn't put money on this game"…and much much more. We had plenty of good athletes last year…Grossman, Jacobs, Graham…we will have plenty of good athletes next year, and the year after that. But I want wins!!!
